Strengthening Global Collaboration: MSEUF Visits Nanyang Institute of Management for Benchmarking and Partnership Initiatives

The Manuel S. Enverga University Foundation (MSEUF), committed to providing a holistic and transformative educational experience, set out to embark on a strategic benchmarking visit to Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) in Singapore on April 9th, 2025. This initiative underscores MSEUF’s dedication to internationalisation and enhancing its global presence in education. 

This visit is a key step toward achieving MSEUF’s strategic objectives, including advancing its global standing, enriching its academic programmes, and fostering international cooperation with NIM. It also reflects the MSEUF’s commitment to producing globally competitive graduates equipped to thrive in the dynamic modern landscape.

A Warm Welcome at NIM

MSEUF’s visit to NIM focused on three main objectives:

Learning from Best Practices: To provide and gain insights into MSEUF & NIM’s best practices in internationalisation, particularly in student and faculty mobility programmes, research collaborations, and global engagement strategies.

Exploring Joint Initiatives: To identify potential collaborative programmes such as faculty exchanges, joint degree offerings, and student mobility projects that will enhance students’ academic and cultural experiences from both institutions.

Forging Research and Industry Links: To explore opportunities for joint research and industry partnerships that align with global trends and provide students with real-world exposure and career opportunities.

Programme Highlights

The discussion then commenced with welcome remarks from Officer-In-Charge of Office of Special Internationalization Projects, Dr. Jennifer B. Reyes, and NIM President Dr. Zhang Xuwei. Dr. Reyes also introduced the delegates from MSEUF and shared a video presentation about MSEUF, highlighting the MSEUF’s EU FLIGHT programme and key areas of international focus such as academic mobility, best practices, research collaboration, and industry alignment.

As Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) is widely recognised as a leading private institution in Singapore and the region, MSEUF deeply values NIM’s progressive approach to education and industry engagement, and looks forward to a fruitful exchange of ideas and collaboration.

Mr. Raymond Khoo, Student Recruitment & Admissions and Student Services/Dean, School of Tourism and Hospitality provided a comprehensive overview of NIM to the representatives of MSEUF, including NIM’s structure, global partnership journey, student-oriented framework, extracurricular activities, and industry opportunities, and industry opportunities.

Ceremonial Signing of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

As part of the visit, the MSEUF delegates were given an insightful tour of the NIM campus. Guided by Mr.Craig Albrightson, the delegation explored key facilities including lecture halls, student lounges, and collaborative learning spaces. The tour provided a first-hand look into NIM’s modern learning environment and its commitment to delivering industry-relevant education. The delegation also had the opportunity to interact with students and faculty, gaining valuable perspectives on the institution’s culture, academic support services, and student engagement initiatives.

MSEUF is grateful for NIM’s positive response and hospitality in hosting this engagement. As both institutions share a vision for academic excellence and global relevance, this partnership promises to open new doors for student growth, cross-border innovation, and institutional development, whereby there is an exchange of Certifications and Tokens across parties.
