Today, students from the School of Tourism & Hospitality (SOTH) enrolled in the Postgraduate and Advanced Diploma in Tourism & Hospitality Management (ADTHM) programmes embarked on an enriching industry visit to the Marina Bay Sands Convention & Exhibition Centre.

The visit provided students with the opportunity to experience the events industry firsthand, bringing classroom concepts to life through the philosophy of learning by seeing.

The group was warmly hosted by Marina Bay Sands’ Director of MICE, Ms Edeline Khoo, who arranged for an insightful sharing session with key industry professionals, including the Director of Technical Services, Mr Jamie Pang, the Director of Banquets, and the Sustainability Manager.

Students gained valuable insights into the planning and execution of large-scale events, the technical operations behind world-class conventions, banquet management, and sustainability initiatives that support one of Asia’s leading integrated luxury hotels. The guided tour also showcased the scale and capabilities of the Marina Bay Sands Convention & Exhibition Centre, giving students a deeper appreciation of the coordination and expertise required to deliver exceptional events.
