SAST Students Explore Contemporary Art at Esplanade Visual Arts Exhibitions
Students from the School of Arts, Science and Technology visited the Esplanade to explore 3 contemporary visual arts exhibitions: What is Taste?, Reflections, and the Loft Pavilion. This visit gave students an engaging opportunity to experience how art can communicate ideas about memory, identity, culture and community through a variety of creative approaches.
As they explored the exhibitions, students observed how artists used visual storytelling to share personal and cultural narratives, encouraging them to interpret artworks from different perspectives. The interactive elements of the Loft Pavilion also invited students to engage in discussion, and reflect on the relationship between art, society and everyday experiences.
This visit has broadened NIM students’ understanding of contemporary visual arts while inspiring creative thinking and a deeper appreciation for diverse artistic practices and cultural expression.
