New Freshmen Welcomed at NIM Campus
Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) welcomed a diverse group of freshmen hailing from China, India, Myanmar, Vietnam, and various parts of the globe. The day commenced with a gracious welcome extended by NIM’s esteemed President, Dr. Zhang Xu Wei. With enthusiasm, Dr. Zhang introduced the incoming students to our state-of-the-art campus facilities and inspired them to embrace a well-rounded and enriching campus experience. The students were also provided with a brief overview of NIM’s various departments, offering them designated points of contact for any assistance they might require during their academic endeavors.

Following the welcome address, the newcomers were given a comprehensive tour of NIM’s schools, including the School of Business, School of Early Childhood Education, School of Engineering, School of Language, School of Logistics, and School of Tourism & Hospitality. They interacted with academic staff, student services personnel, and student council members, gaining valuable insights into their academic journey ahead.
After lunch, the new students enthusiastically participated in the first ever NIM Vlogging Race. Arranged into random groups and under the guidance of the student council team, these students embarked on an exploration of diverse landmarks within the centrally situated campus. This activity served as more than a mere exercise in teamwork; it offered an immersive experience, enriching their comprehension of Singapore’s cultural and geographical intricacies.
The day was filled with excitement and camaraderie, setting a positive tone for the upcoming term. NIM eagerly anticipates the academic adventures and accomplishments that these bright young minds will bring to the campus. Here’s to a promising start and a fruitful academic journey!
