SOB Student’s Voyage to URA Gallery Singapore
The School of Business, Engineering, and Tourism & Hospitality students visited the URA Gallery at Maxwell for an enriching joint school excursion.
The gallery experience offers students interdisciplinary insights into Singapore’s urban landscape. Engineering students explored sustainable infrastructure and smart city planning, and business students examined the economic strategies behind land use and development. In contrast, tourism students gained a deeper appreciation of how urban design enhances visitor experiences. within the arts.
Throughout the visit, students actively engaged with the exhibits and discussions, analysing real-world urban planning strategies and reflecting on their impact. The experience encouraged them to think about how different fields come together in shaping cities, and how they can play a part in future developments.
Overall, the visit offered practical insights into integrated urban planning across disciplines and strengthened students’ understanding of Singapore’s approach to building a sustainable livable city.
