NIM Students Gain Insights into ‘Elevating the Hotel Guest Journey Management’ at an Exclusive Workshop
On 6th March 2025, students from the School of Tourism and Hospitality at Nanyang Institute of Management had the unique opportunity to participate in an exclusive workshop led by esteemed industry professionals from the Swiss Hotel Management School (SHMS). Mr. John A. Daly, Academic Director, APAC, Swiss Education Group, and Ms. Angela Gouwtama delivered an engaging and insightful session on hotel guest journey management and career opportunities in hospitality.
Crafting Unforgettable Guest Experiences
Mr. John A. Daly, an expert in hospitality management, guided students through an interactive workshop on Crafting Unforgettable Experiences: Elevating the Hotel Guest Journey Management. The session was designed to help students understand the importance of curating exceptional guest experiences in the competitive hospitality industry.
Students were actively involved in a hands-on activity where they worked in teams to create their own hospitality business concepts. Each team was tasked with developing a company name and formulating a market strategy, which included identifying their target audience, outlining strategies to attract new customers, and defining the unique products or services their business would offer. Through this activity, students gained practical insights into strategic planning and brand positioning in the hospitality sector.
