NIM SING! Event Brings Students Together
for an Evening of Fun and Music
Last Friday, the Nanyang Institute of Management’s Level 5 Open Space was abuzz with excitement as students gathered for the much-anticipated NIM SING! event. Running from 4PM to 7PM, the event drew a diverse crowd of students from various schools, all eager to bond, relax, and enjoy an evening of music, games, and snacks. The atmosphere was lively and energetic, with students mingling, laughing, and cheering each other on throughout the evening.
The event kicked off with the Pass the Ball Singing Challenge, an engaging ice-breaking game. Students formed a large circle and passed a ball around while music played. When the music stopped, the student holding the ball introduced themselves, shared their course, and talked about their favorite song. This interactive game quickly got everyone comfortable and helped students get to know each other better, setting a lively tone for the rest of the evening. Laughter and cheers filled the air as students shared fun facts and favorite tunes.
Following the ice-breaker, the Guess the Song Game took center stage. Participants listened intently to snippets of popular songs, trying to guess the titles. The competitive spirit was high as students eagerly vied to guess the most songs correctly. Small prizes were awarded to the winners, adding an element of excitement and friendly competition to the event.
One of the highlights of NIM SING! was the special performances by three invited students. These talented performers captivated the audience with their singing and rapping, adding a dynamic and energetic vibe to the evening. The crowd responded with enthusiastic applause and cheers, creating an electric atmosphere that resonated throughout the open space.
The evening continued with an open singing session, where students took turns performing their favorite songs. Students eagerly grabbed the microphone to showcase their vocal talents, while their peers sang along and cheered them on. Many students delivered impressive performances that left the audience in awe. The open singing session featured a delightful mix of songs from various cultures, including Vietnamese, Burmese, and Chinese songs, reflecting the diverse backgrounds of the students and adding to the event’s rich cultural tapestry.
Overall, NIM SING! was a resounding success, achieving its goal of bringing students together for an evening of fun and music. The diverse participation from students across different schools highlighted the inclusive and welcoming spirit of the event.
