New Beginnings at NIM May Orientation 2026
New students at Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) were warmly welcomed during Orientation day today as they embarked on their new academic journey. The programme commenced with a welcome speech by Mr. Craig Albrightson, NIM Vice President, and Dr. Johnson Teo, NIM Assistant Vice President, that introduced students to the institution’s culture, values, and commitment to providing a supportive learning environment.
Students were then guided through a series of informative briefings conducted by various departments, including Student Services, Career Service, and Operations Teams. These sessions provided valuable information on academic support, student activities, campus facilities, and career development opportunities designed to enrich their student experience.
Students evaluated housing designs and strategized based on real data and practical outcomes, demonstrating the long-term effort required to transform Singapore’s housing landscape over decades. They were also inspired by innovative solutions shaping future smart and sustainable towns, connecting theoretical engineering knowledge with real-world urban development practices.
The afternoon was filled with interactive games and bonding activities, encouraging teamwork, communication, and collaboration among students from diverse backgrounds. Laughter and excitement filled the room as students participated enthusiastically, creating memorable moments from the very beginning of their academic journey.
The Orientation Programme concluded with a prize presentation, celebrating the students’ participation and marking the start of a new and exciting chapter at NIM.
