NIM CGE students' food expedition to SG’s favourite Hong Lim Food Centre
Students from Certificate of General English (CGE) recently had the chance to explore one of Singapore’s favourite and oldest food centre since 1978, an iconic spot known for its rich heritage and mouth watering hawker dishes, the food centre is a hotspot for locals and tourists alike.
During the visit, students explored the vibrant stalls offering an array of Singaporean delicacies, from fragrant Hainanese chicken rice to savoury laksa and delectable char kway teow.
This experience not only satisfied their taste buds but also gave the students a deeper appreciation for Singapore’s multicultural food culture, showcasing how heritage and tradition come alive in every bite. It was truly a feast for both the palate and the soul!
