Nanyang Institute of Management Students participates in
‘Project Seeds of Hope’
On June 30, students from the Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) participated in the ‘Project Seeds of Hope’, hosted by Jurong Central Youth Enriching Life. This remarkable event was the culmination of a two-month effort that began in May, with the goal of achieving a significant milestone in sustainable gardening and community engagement.
Our dedicated NIM students – Thach Kim Ngan from the Certificate of General English, Ngwe Zin Shin Thant from the Postgraduate Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management (PDLSCM), Htet Oo Khin from the Graduate Diploma in Business Creation and Innovation (GDBCI), and Twal Tar Htun from the Advanced Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality Management (ADTHM) – played a crucial role in this project. Their hard work and enthusiasm helped set a new record, earning a place in the Singapore Book of Records for the largest display of microgreens planted using recycled materials.
The event, ‘Project Seeds of Hope’, was a testament to the power of collaboration and environmental stewardship. Over two months, participants worked tirelessly to plant and nurture microgreens using innovative and sustainable methods. This initiative not only emphasized the importance of green practices but also demonstrated the community’s dedication to environmental conservation.
NIM is immensely proud of our students’ involvement in this significant event. Their roles as game masters and active participants provided them with invaluable experience and exposure to large-scale community projects. For our foreign students, this was an especially enriching experience, allowing them to engage deeply with local communities and contribute to a record-setting achievement.
Our students expressed immense joy and fulfillment in being part of ‘Project Seeds of Hope’. They valued the opportunity to apply their skills in a practical, impactful manner and to witness firsthand the positive outcomes of their collective efforts.
At NIM, we are committed to fostering innovation, sustainability, and community involvement among our students. The success of ‘Project Seeds of Hope’ exemplifies these values and motivates us to continue supporting such initiatives in the future. We extend our heartfelt congratulations to Thach Kim Ngan, Ngwe Zin Shin Thant, Htet Oo Khin, and Twal Tar Htun for their outstanding contributions.
This achievement serves as a powerful reminder of what can be accomplished through teamwork, dedication, and a shared vision for a better future. We look forward to more opportunities where our students can shine and make a meaningful difference.
