Nanyang Institute of Management and Shaanxi Science and Technology Association explore new horizons in education and trade cooperation
On March 10, 2024, Nanyang Institute of Management (NIM) hosted a symposium, warmly welcoming a Shaanxi Science and Technology Association delegation, including Party Secretary Li Yuqi, for an in-depth exchange and guidance.

The symposium featured prominent figures from NIM, including President Zhang Xuwei and Vice Presidents Wilson Ang, and Craig Albrightson. The visiting delegation comprised government officials like Li Yuqi, Party Secretary of the Shaanxi Science and Technology Association, and Lv Yongwei, Party Committee Member and Deputy General Manager of Shaanxi Science and Technology Holding Group Co., Ltd. The business representatives included Wang Chongwei, Director of Baoji Bishibo Electronic Technology Co., Ltd., and Dong Dapeng, General Manager of the same company.

This event was part of the Cross-Border Science and Innovation Business Inspection – Singapore-Malaysia Technology Innovation, held at NIM. The activities began with a visit to the institute in the afternoon, followed by a discussion session till the evening.


The symposium was chaired by Zhang Zhongren, the Business Representative, who delivered the opening speech. Subsequent speakers included Wang Gang, President of the Singapore Shaanxi Association; Li Yuqi, Secretary of the Shaanxi Provincial Science Association; Yao Wanjun, Honorary President of the Singapore Shaanxi Association and President of the Tongri Group; Zhang Xuwei, Vice President of the Singapore Shaanxi Association and President of NIM; Zhang Honghao, General Manager of the Singapore Border Group; and Zhou Ligao, CRO of Ya Holdings Co., Ltd. and CEO of the Singapore company.


The meeting facilitated discussions on leveraging each other’s strengths to enhance cooperation and promote mutual development. In education, NIM and the Shaanxi Science and Technology Association explored potential collaboration opportunities, including academic exchanges, research cooperation, and student exchange programs, to foster joint development in the educational sector. In the economic and trade sphere, both parties discussed utilizing their resources and networks to foster collaboration and exchanges between businesses in Singapore and China, exploring new business opportunities and partnership models to drive mutual economic prosperity.
The symposium deepened the understanding and friendship between NIM and the Shaanxi Science and Technology Association, laid a solid foundation for future cooperation in education and trade, and provided valuable opportunities for both sides to engage in technological innovation and business exploration.
