July Intake Orientation at Nanyang Institute of Management
On Monday, July 8th, 2024, Nanyang Institute of Management warmly welcomed its new cohort of students for the July intake. The orientation event was a perfect blend of informative sessions, interactive activities, and delightful food adventures, all designed to provide a comprehensive introduction to the institution and its vibrant community.
The day commenced with inspiring speeches from our esteemed leaders. Our President, Vice Presidents, and Deans of various schools addressed the new students, offering valuable insights into the school’s vision, mission, and the opportunities that lie ahead. Their words not only motivated but also instilled a sense of belonging and excitement among the newcomers.
Following the formal speeches, students had the chance to mingle and get to know each other better. This initial interaction laid the groundwork for the camaraderie that would be further strengthened throughout the day’s activities.
The highlight of the orientation was undoubtedly the food hunting activity, expertly organized by our dedicated Student Council members. Students ventured into the local area, guided by the council, to discover and taste a variety of local delicacies. This hands-on experience allowed them to immerse themselves in the local culture and savor the unique flavors Singapore has to offer.
Upon returning to the campus, the students participated in a sharing session where each group presented their food-hunting experiences. They described the dishes they tried, shared their preferences, and highlighted their most memorable moments. This interactive session not only showcased their food discoveries but also fostered a sense of community and shared experiences.
The day concluded with an exciting prize presentation. The top three groups, selected for their engaging presentations and enthusiastic participation, were awarded prizes as a token of appreciation for their efforts.
The July intake orientation at Nanyang Institute of Management was a resounding success, setting a positive tone for the students’ academic journey ahead.
