Course Objective

The course aims to cultivate a critical understanding of diverse theoretical management perspectives within tourism and events, providing students with a solid foundation on the interconnected and interdisciplinary aspects of these industries. It focuses on developing the ability to analyze and critically evaluate management theories and their practical applications in real-world scenarios. Students will gain insight into the complexities of local, national, and international tourism and event management. DELIVERY ASSESSMENTS & AWARDS

Delivery
This course is wholly delivered in Singapore. Students will have access to local lecturers and resources provided by Canterbury Christ Church University. There will be a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and presentations. Students may also be given additional work to complete outside of scheduled classes. Resources and materials provided for students will include lecture notes and references for further reading in books, publication, articles and websites.
Assessment
100% coursework, it may include individual report, reflective assignment/log, presentation, individual assignment, group presentation, group discussion, portfolio, case study, and/or group project.
Award
Upon passing all modules, a student will be awarded the Masters of Science in International Hospitality Management. The degree awarded will be the same as that awarded to on-campus students of the university.
