Course Objective
This program integrates technical, managerial, and entrepreneurial concepts in construction project management, equipping students with essential knowledge and skills for contemporary construction practices. Delivered by a multidisciplinary team of academics and industry experts, it addresses challenges in managing complex construction projects, emphasizing resource efficiency, environmental considerations, and social impacts. Students gain leadership skills, the ability to analyze and improve business processes, and the capacity to evaluate sustainable design proposals. They also develop advanced research knowledge, effective communication, and the capability to plan and execute research projects independently.
Upon completion of the program, students will have the expertise to lead multidisciplinary teams in sustainable construction projects, understand essential management components, evaluate environmental impacts, foster teamwork for effective solutions, and conduct advanced research while communicating professionally.

- At least a lower second class (2:2) honours degree or equivalent qualifications in Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management and other construction related disciplines.
- Applicants from Singapore will typically require a Bachelor (Honours) degree with a minimum GPA of 2.7 (4-point scale) or 3.5 (5-point scale) in either Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management or other construction related disciplines.
- For students from China, applicants will typically require a Bachelor's degree with a minimum 70% in either Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management or other construction related disciplines.
- For students from India, applicants will typically require a Bachelor of Arts / Science / Commerce / Professional Subject with a minimum GPA of 2.9 (4-point scale) or 55-65% in either Civil Engineering, Building Technology, Construction Management or other construction related disciplines.
- English language standard of IELTS 6.0 (no component band below 5.5) or Grade C in A-Level, iGCSE or GCSE English Language, or equivalent Abertay-approved English language test.
