Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education)(Top Up)(Teach-out)

Course Objectives
This program promotes the lifelong learning in early childhood education and prepares graduates to contribute to a wide range of stakeholders.
Upon completion of the program, graduates will be competent in:

    Areas related to the development and delivery of pre-school curriculum
    Developing innovative strategies to engage children with families in learning

    Advocating for children and families through an increased awareness of their 
       needs in a multicultural environment
    Recognising  cultural  sensitivities  and  working  with  people  from  diverse
    Continuing their professional development journey by practicing as
       reflective professionals

Course Structure
The course comprises of 12 units; categorised under three broad themes:

Mode of Delivery
The units are delivered through a variety of engaging, interactive face-to-face sessions; held on weekdays (evenings) and weekends.

Students are required to undergo the 12 units with 36 contact teaching hours for each unit.

Entry Requirements   

The course is open to educators, principals and administrators who have a strong commitment towards their professional development and possesses any of the following relevant entry qualification:

Diploma in Children Services or University approved equivalent 
IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
Applicants should be at least 19 years of age at the time of application

Assessment & Awards
Students who successfully complete all units including the Professional Experience Placement will be awarded the prestigious Bachelor of Teaching (Early Childhood Education) by Federation University Australia.

The awarded degree carries the same status, recognition and standing as those granted by the University to its on campus students. Graduates will be entitled to use the title BTeach (ECE) after their names.
