Bachelor of Applied Management

Course Objectives
 
The Federation University Australia (FedUni) Bachelor of Applied Management is an innovative degree designed to respond to 21st Century employer needs for highly skilled and educated workers. Graduates of the Bachelor of Applied Management will possess solid technical and practical knowledge and skills to enable them to be "work ready".  There is a strong emphasis on applied learning through a range of integrated industry studies and projects.  A range of assessment tasks will be undertaken during this program including written reports, assignments, group projects, case studies, presentations and formal examinations.  Your management skills, knowledge and attributes will be developed by completing an applied management workplace project at the end of the course.
 

This course has been developed to meet the global demand for highly skilled senior managers. It will prepare graduates with the necessary skills, knowledge and attributes to undertake a wide variety of professional positions across a broad range of industries
 
Course Structure

• The course comprises 23 fully taught modules and 1 applied industry project.
•  Duration :3 years for full-time studies
                  6 years for part-time studies
• Average teacher-student ratio – 1 : 50
• Maximum course duration: 6 years for full time studies
                                         6 years for part-time studies

Mode of Delivery

This course is wholly delivered in Singapore. Students will have access to local lecturers and resources provided by Nanyang Institute of Management.
There will be a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops, seminars and presentations. Students may also be given additional work to complete outside of scheduled classes. Resources and materials provided for students will include lecture notes and references for further reading in books, publication, articles and websites.

NIM shall notify the student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

i.It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date; or
ii.It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date.

NIM shall inform the student in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any).
NIM shall refund student according to the Refund Policy in the Standard PEI-Student Contract.
The waiting period for the commencement of course is 2 to 4 months depending on the course applied for.

Entry Requirements

• 2 GCE A Level-Pass on any subjects or its equivalent or
Completion of  Year-12 education or its equivalent  or
Completion of Senior Middle 3 Standard or
Completion of NIM Certificate in Business Management or its equivalent
• IELTS 6.0 or equivalent
• Applicants who do not meet the minimum English Language proficiency requirements are required to sit and pass the NIM English Proficiency Test.
• Applicants should be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.

Assessment & Awards

Assessment of modules comprises coursework and written examinations. The coursework may include tests, practical assignments, research projects and/or tutorial.
 
Upon  passing  all 24  modules,  a student  will  be  awarded the  Federation University Australia Bachelor of Applied Management.
