Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management

The Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management programme aims to provide learners from fundamental to in-depth development of knowledge needed for a career in logistics and supply chain management,   The programme objective is designed to:

► provide learners with knowledge and skills in qualitative analysis and decision making skills needed in logistics and supply chain management.

► appreciate the entrepreneurial skills needed in logistics and supply chain management context

► adapt learners to problem solve and be effective learners in the ever-evolving arena of the logistics and supply chain management industries.

► give an awareness of the techniques used in the design, layout and management of warehouses and distribution centres

► apply skills in transport management, operations management and international aspects of logistics



The course comprises 16 fully taught modules.

Duration :16 months for full-time studies
2 months for part-time studies

Average teacher-student ratio – 1 : 30

Maximum course duration:36 months for full time studies

This course is wholly delivered in Singapore. Students will have access to local lecturers and resources provided by Nanyang Institute of Management.  There will be a combination of lectures, tutorials, workshops and presentations. Students may also be given additional work to complete outside of scheduled classes. Resources and materials provided for students will include lecture notes and references for further reading in books, publication, articles and websites

NIM shall notify the student within three (3) working days upon knowledge of any of the following:

i.It does not commence the Course on the Course Commencement Date; or
ii.It terminates the Course before the Course Commencement Date.

NIM shall inform the student in writing of alternative study arrangements (if any).
NIM shall refund student according to the Refund Policy in the Standard PEI-Student Contract.
The waiting period for the commencement of course is 2 to 4 months depending on the course applied for.


• 2 GCE A Level or formal Year-12 education or IB Diploma; OR Polytechnic diploma in relevant areas of Business, Management, Logistics and/or Supply Chain Management; OR NIM Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management
• IELTS 5.5 or equivalent
• Applicants who do not meet the minimum English Language proficiency requirements are required to sit and pass the NIM English Proficiency Test.
• Applicants should be at least 17 years of age at the time of application.


Assessment for most modules comprise coursework and/or written examinations. The coursework may include tests, practical assignments, research projects and/or tutorial participation.

Upon passing all 16 modules, a student will be awarded the Nanyang Institute of Management Advanced Diploma in Logistics and Supply Chain Management.
